Available Styles
Sine Wave
A smooth, flowing oscillation line. Two overlaid waves create a layered effect with a 750ms animation cycle. Classic and clean.
Bars
Fifteen vertical bars that oscillate like an equalizer. Each bar has a staggered phase for a natural, rhythmic feel. 400ms oscillation cycle.
Rings
Three concentric rings that pulse outward from the center. 900ms cycle with 300ms stagger between rings. Minimal and elegant.
Blob
An organic, morphing shape that flows smoothly. Eight control points with Catmull-Rom spline interpolation create a natural, liquid look. 2000ms cycle for a relaxed feel.
Changing Your Style
Open Settings
Tap the gear icon next to the channel indicator to open Settings.
Find Audio Section
Scroll to the Audio section.
Tap Waveform Style
Tap Waveform Style to open the style picker.
Select Your Style
Choose from Sine Wave, Bars, Rings, or Blob. The change applies immediately.
Technical Details
All waveform animations are built with:
- React Native Reanimated for 60fps UI-thread animations
- SVG rendering for crisp, resolution-independent visuals
- Full screen width for maximum visual impact
- Animations respond to audio activity — they activate when someone is transmitting and rest when the channel is quiet
Try each style to find the one that feels right. Some people prefer the classic Sine Wave, while others like the modern Blob. It's purely aesthetic — pick what you enjoy looking at during long shoots.
